Following its successful Skype DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telephony) USB phone last year, Aztech continues to deliver more convenience and mobility to the more than 136 million Skype users worldwide. Taking center stage at CES 2007 is the new V500DS. a cordless dual-mode Internet/DECT phone that brings together traditional landline calls and Skype calls. There is no need to connect to a computer as the device has Skype software built in. Powered by DECT cordless technology, the product provides crystal-clear digital communication. Infusing style with functionality for homes and offices, the handset supports free Skype-to-Skype calls as well as inexpensive SkypeOutд and SkypeInд calls to and from regular telephones anywhere in the world. To use V500DS, a broadband Internet connection is required. Aztech’s Skype-related product family now also includes the USB Skype DECT, SS210-S1. This dual-mode USB phone connects to the computer with a USB cable. Also debuting is the new Aztech Skype Internet Conference Phone tailored for small meeting rooms and executive offices. This ingenious product has Skype software built-in and features an integrated speaker and omnidirectional microphone for inexpensive international conference calls with superb sound quality. “With the entry of the 3 new innovative products to our Skype-related offerings, Aztech is further poised as a major player in the Internet-calling sector,” said Michael Mun, Aztech’s CEO and President. “Our products encompass all Skype voice features, excellent sound quality and ease of use.
